Forget that, it was caused by a residual lock file
I got it to work with BufferLimit 1 but i buffers the next message anyway

Using MaxSize I managed to transfer a lot of other messages (even one 
just a few bytes smaller than the buggy one)

I'm currently parsing the hexdump but so far no null byte (I got the 
message source from gmail, seems identical to me, and I see nothing 
suspicious in it. There are 2 attachments, which are unnamed .eml files)
