Desc:
This position will be responsible for developing an interface from the
manufacturing system (MAPS) to the Laboratory Information Management System
(LIMS), based on approved requirements. Primary responsibilities will include:
1) develop custom modules using Oracle, C, and embedded SQL
2) conduct unit/module testing and source code reviews
3) author requirements, technical specifications, detailed design
specifications, and test protocols
4) liaise with customers and technical lead to understand user requirements and
technical design requirements.
This position may include authoring technical support documentation and
participation in unit/module and integration testing.
Required skills/experience/education:
Candidate will have a minimum 2 - 4 years of IT experience, with a significant
emphasis on development. Technologies utilized will be C with embedded SQL,
Oracle 7 and OpenVMS.
Skills required are technical writing, attention to detail, oral and written
communication skills, the ability to communicate and work effectively with
internal customers, management, and IT staff in person, over the phone, and
through e-mail; good decision making and problem solving skills; ability to
work with vendor supplied software packages; structured work habits; strong
organization skills.
Desired skills/experience/education:
Experience with C and embedded SQL is required.
Experience with AB's (Applied Biosystems) SQL*LIMS 3.3.4 is highly desirable.
Knowledge of computer validation, 21 CFR Part 11 compliance (electronic records
and signatures) and familiarity with cGXP regulations; and pharmaceutical QA/QC
laboratory business processes would be helpful.
