Location: Cincinnati, OH Duration: 6+ Months Rate: $45-47/Hr Best F2F is required!! Description: Client is currently recruiting in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio for an Oracle/SQL Server DBA contractor. To be considered for this position, candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. KEY SKILLS REQUIRED: Oracle 10g DBA ORACLE RAC in a WINDOWS ENVIRONMENT SQL SERVER 2005 Database Administration experience The Database Administrator will provide DBA support for multiple databases in a cross-client environment. This role will provide support primarily to Oracle database instances, with some responsibility for SQL*Server. The environment currently includes approximately 100 servers with ~50 Oracle databases and ~20 SQL databases. Planned infrastructure enhancement projects require the involvement of a DBA to plan and execute tasks for Oracle and MS SQL databases. Projects include: 1) Migration of Oracle and MS SQL databases to NetApp SAN 2) 64 bit upgrade pilot for Oracle, MS SQL, and Oracle RAC 3) 64 bit upgrade rollout This resource will also participate in planning for new SAN backup and other database related enhancements. This resource may also be utilized by client's ODA to perform application database support work. Project team members reside in multiple locations and excellent communication skills are required.
