Position: Project Manager with Incident/Problem exp is Must
Location - Philly, PA
Duration: 3 months, with extensions (anticipated 9 month assignment).
Rate: ALAP
Term - Initial funding for 3 months, with extensions (anticipated 9 month
assignment).
Comments - IVs will occur next week and person to be in place within 1 - 2
weeks following, target start of 5/4/09
ROLE:
Immediate backfill, specific to Incident and Problem Management.
Essential Functions:
. Facilitate daily problem review meeting
. Gather and document all pertinent information for problems i.e. root cause,
resolution, categorization, preventative measures
. Facilitate weekly root cause analysis meetings with data center groups
. Perform trend analysis
. Prepare and present weekly, monthly and quarterly problem reviews with
technology and business senior management
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
. Ability to understand technical terms and translate into business language
. Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced, dynamic and large
corporate environment
. Demonstrated ability to display strong sense of urgency
. Project Management skills preferred
. General understanding of ITIL concepts / ITL certification preferred
- experience with large data centers, and large scale projects
- ability to address/analyze and determine server/network outages, etc.
- perform root cause analysis, track issues, etc.
- support personnel, and interact with all levels of mgmt. to disclose
incidents/problems
- develop reports as it relates to the Incidents/Problems that have occurred
(no specific reporting tools, mainly excel)
- must have solid MS office capabilities
- Project management skills/exp as it relates to incidents/problems mgmt.
- Lotus notes
- regulatory experience a must
- High level/broad understanding (does not have to be specific) of
networks/servers specifically VMWare, Solaris
- pharma exp a nice to have, not mandatory
