Position: WebSphere MQ with J2SE and J2EE Java development. Duration: 6 + months Location: Bloomington, MN. Best Rate is $45-47/hr Max Local or candidate that can attend an in person interview on the first round. Responsibilities . Create and maintain reference architecture, reference applications and accompanying documentation. . Partner with Application Architects and Product Engineers to address architecture roadmap items. . Evaluate and recommend new software/technologies/patterns. . Define and document application development standards. . Communicate standards to development teams. . Conduct biannual application assessments to identify and communicate gaps between applications and reference applications. . Participate in project assessments with Product Engineers to identify and fill technical gaps in upcoming projects. . Tier III support for production issues and IT projects Requirements . 5+ years experience with J2SE and J2EE Java development. . 5+ years experience with WebSphere App Server and Tomcat both from a development perspective as well as from a configuration and deployment perspective. . 5+ years experience with UNIX and shell scripting. . Understanding of OO software design patterns (GoF patterns) and best-practices. . Understanding of SOA concepts and best-practices . Experience with Spring Framework IoC, Web Flow and MVC. . Experience with SOAP web services. . Experience with WebSphere MQ and the JMS API. . Experience with Maven and CVS . Experience with Eclipse IDE and plugin configuration. . Strong written and verbal communication skills. . Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio. . Proficiency with UML notation and modeling. . Must be a strong contributor individually and as a team. . Strong mentoring skills . Comfortable with a fast-paced development environment with conflicting priorities and juggling multiple high-profile projects at a time. . B.S. or Masters Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. .
