Location: Vernon Hills, IL Duration: 3 months LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED. Description: · Senior Data Modeler for Quality Data Warehouse. · Working with business analyst and Cognos developer, will develop data model for global supplier quality subject area. · Responsible for developing conceptual, logical and physical data models for global supplier quality subject area and maintaining complaint subject area model to support change controls. · Participate on team to evaluate ETL design. · Produce documentation for data warehouse design specification. · Work with DBA to implement model definition in Oracle. · As time/skills permit, assist with DBA support, performance tuning, and PL/SQL Stored Procedures and Functions development. Specific Qualifications Required (specialized skills, degrees, certification, etc.) · At least 8 years of data modeling experience in a complex warehouse environment. · Hands on experience modeling 3rd normal form, star and snowflake schemas, and de-normalization for decision support environments. · Proficient in use of Sybase Power Designer. · Hands-on experience working with Oracle 10G. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must. · Understanding of healthcare environment required. · Experience in developing PL/SQL stored procedures and functions required. · Experience with performance tuning in 10G environments highly desired.
