Please see the description below and let me know who you have. **LOCAL candidates only please** Technical Architect Position Summary: This position is responsible for shaping business needs into technology solutions which deliver business value and are aligned with broader enterprise architecture strategies. Within Corporate Services, this position provides insight into emerging technology and provides direction in the incorporation of new technology into the multi-year strategic plan. Primary Responsibilities: Provides domain-specificl architectural leadership and ensures it is in alignment with enterprise architectural strategies Translates business domain roadmap into al technology roadmap that is in alignment with the broader enterprise architecture roadmap Develops solution alternatives to meet business needs and considersl the costs and risks associated with each alternative Ensures solutionsl developed within their domain have been properly implemented in accordance to the agreed upon application architecture Guides service development andl service delivery teams on the implementation of architecture related strategies, concepts, and tools Partners with resource development managers and servicel delivery managers to identify technical skills and training required to support new technologies Where necessary, is involved with in-depth assessments tol validate that the technology and architecture is appropriate for the business solution Acts as the subject matter expert for the technology used in thel domain to address application integration and infrastructure framework related questions Preferred Qualifications: Extensive technicall and architectural leadership experience in the design and development of distributed object orientated solutions using JEE, .Net, Web Development, SOA Experience with many of the following platforms: UNIX, LINUX, Microsoftl Servers, Mainframe, Oracle, DB2, WebLogic, TIBCO Experience with variousl systems/areas like Remedy, Clarity, Bizlink (EDI), Sharepoint (Portals), Identity Management (IBM Tivoli TIM/TAM), Lotus Notes.
