Job Summary Job Summary: Reporting to the eBI Technology Manager responsible for eBI Global Business Applications Support, the responsibilities of this role will be twofold: · Fully responsible for smooth running of OBIEE application · Fully responsible for smooth running of Production DW database This role is a key IT position responsible for keeping the “lights on” for the Enterprise Data warehouse business reporting layer. The successful candidate will be ahead of the curve in tuning the systems, be able to handle business critical issues with agility, perform root cause analysis, understand current architecture and suggest improvements, handle upgrades and patching for both OBIEE and database layers. Job Requirements Key member of L3 team with proven track record in the two areas: Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) - Hands on experience in OBIEE 10.x on Windows - Understand the architecture and deployment of OBIEE - Constantly tune for better performance - Suggest architecture for future growth - Handle P1 and business critical issues - Perform root cause analysis for critical issues - Perform upgrades and patching - Windows and OBIEE clustering - Microsoft IIS WebServer - Develop automation to aid in monitoring and improve productivity - Be part of 24x7 production support team - Support L2 team and help them perform their job better - Debug and triage production issues - Strong hands-on administration and management skills - Possess strong technical and architecture knowledge - Scalability and Capacity Planning - Drive roadmap projects to completion Oracle Database - Manage large oracle 10g data warehouse databases - Constantly tune for better performance at server level - Very fluent in performance tools TKPROF/Explain Plan/AWR/OEM/StatsPack, etc - Handle P1 and business critical issues - Perform root cause analysis for critical issues - Perform upgrades and patching and periodic CPU updates - Develop automation to aid in monitoring - Be part of 24x7 production support team - Support L2 team and help them perform their job better - Debug and triage production issues - Strong hands-on administration and management skills - Possess strong technical and architecture knowledge - Scalability and Capacity Planning - Drive roadmap projects to completion - Experience in NetApp Flex Clone, SnapMirror, etc tools - Have project management experience - Hands-on working experience in Microsoft IIS Web Server. - Highly technical and have deep understanding of various components in OBIEE. - Experience in configuration and administration of a multi-node OBIEE clustered environment - Experience in configuration and administration of OBIEE Delivers - Experience in OBIEE report and server level performance tuning - Experience with Oracle BI Publisher preferred - MCSA or MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Administrator or System Engineer) or equivalent experience preferred - Very fluent in Unix shell and Windows scripting, SQL and PLSQL programming - Good understanding of Microsoft Windows and AIX Unix Operating systems. - Large scale project and program management experience, including full-cycle tier-1 OBIEE system implementations. - Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills. - Ability to make and own key decisions, while balancing input from key business stakeholders. - Strong organization and facilitation skills. - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks against set deadlines. - Ability to work cross teams, cross functional, with infrastructure teams and with Business and be a good team player. - Knowledge of IBM Datastage and ETL will be a plus Posting Category Information Technology Education and Experience Education and Experience: - BA or BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Business Operations; MBA a plus. - 5+ years proven leadership and relevant operational experience. - Demonstrated success in collaborating with business units for strategic, large scale IT project implementations. - Minimum 8-10 years in IT application development, project management, system deployment and production support with at least 5 years focused on the OBIEE, Siebel Analytics, DB areas.
