The successful candidate will be ahead of the curve in tuning the systems, be able to handle business critical issues with agility, perform root cause analysis, understand current architecture and suggest improvements, handle upgrades and patching for both ETL and database layers. Job Requirements Key member of L3 team with proven track record in the two areas: IBM Information Server - Hands on experience in IBM Information version 8.0.1 - Manage IBM Information server with huge loads - Ensure loads complete within agreed SLAs - Constantly tune for better performance - Suggest architecture for future growth - Aware of various source systems like Siebel, SAP - Handle P1 and business critical issues - Perform root cause analysis for critical issues - Perform upgrades and patching - Develop automation to aid in monitoring and improve productivity - Be part of 24x7 production support team - Support L2 team and help them perform their job better - Debug and triage production issues - Strong hands-on administration and management skills - Possess strong technical and architecture knowledge - Scalability and Capacity Planning - Drive roadmap projects to completion Oracle Database - Manage large oracle 10g data warehouse databases - Constantly tune for better performance at server level - Very fluent in performance tools TKPROF/Explain Plan/AWR/OEM/StatsPack, etc - Handle P1 and business critical issues - Perform root cause analysis for critical issues - Perform upgrades and patching and periodic CPU updates - Develop automation to aid in monitoring - Be part of 24x7 production support team - Support L2 team and help them perform their job better - Debug and triage production issues - Strong hands-on administration and management skills - Possess strong technical and architecture knowledge - Scalability and Capacity Planning - Drive roadmap projects to completion - Experience in NetApp Flex Clone, SnapMirror, etc tools - Have project management experience - Very fluent in Unix shell scripting and SQL, PLSQL programming - Good understanding of Sun Solaris and AIX Unix Operating Systems - Large scale project and program management experience, including full-cycle tier-1 EDW system implementations. - Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills. - Ability to make and own key decisions, while balancing input from key business stakeholders. - Strong organization and facilitation skills. - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks against set deadlines. - A background in the area of enterprise reporting tool Oracle Business Intelligence is a plus. - Ability to work cross teams, cross functional, with infrastructure teams and with Business and be a good team player.
