Candies must have DBA experience in Oracle, Sybase and SQL. Submit your best rate, this is highly competitive. Essential Assignment Functions: (Main functions of this role. Please be descriptive.) a.. Designs, installs, monitors, maintains, and performance tunes production databases, ensuring high levels of data availability b.. Develops, implements, and oversees database policies/procedures to ensure integrity and availability of databases and accompanying software c.. Responsible for issues of varied scope and technical complexity relating to database management d.. Works with application development staff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies/procedures. e.. Creates models for new database development and/or changes to existing ones. f.. Installs and configures relevant network components to ensure database access and database consistency/integrity. g.. Responds to and resolves database access/performance issues h.. Designs and implements redundant systems, policies and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets. i.. Monitors, optimizes and allocates physical data storage for database systems. j.. Plans and coordinates data migrations between systems k.. Develops, implements, and maintains change control and testing processes for modifications to databases. l.. Creates, or supports creation of, required reports m.. Performs database transaction and security audits. n.. Establishes appropriate end-user database access control levels o.. Other duties as required. Special Skills/Qualifications: (Please be specific in qualifications/required skill sets. - i.e. 4+ years Facets experiences) a.. 5+ years experience with database administration, designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting database servers, including Sybase, Oracle and/or MS SQL Server. b.. Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices. c.. Good written/oral communication and interpersonal skills. d.. Strong technical documentation skills and ability to conduct research into database issues, standards and products. e.. Highly self motivated and directed with keen attention to detail. f.. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. g.. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. h.. Strong customer service orientation with ability to function successfully in a matrix environment. i.. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws. Preferred Skills: a.. Certifications in Oracle, Sybase or MS SQL server helpful. b.. Project management experiences a plus. c.. Previous healthcare and/or insurance experience strongly preferred. d.. Knowledge of TriZetto's Facets, Lawson, Landacorp's maxMC, and MACESS applications within a healthcare environment a plus.
