*Title:*Embedded Application Developer
Location:Dallas, TX
Duration: 2+ year contract
2 openings*
*1st position can just be strong in C development experience as long as it’s
for app development as opposed to protocol stacks and drivers. 2nd position
should have some Android GUI experience specifically.
Must have app development experience with C (NOT looking for protocol
stacks)
*Skills:*
3 - 8 years of experience in professional software development
BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
Strong C Programming Skills with related coursework
Requires a good understanding and experience of application software design
development both on an embedded and a desktop environment (Windows and Mac)
Experience developing graphical user interfaces GUI
Good understanding on how to write unit tests.
Experience using Bugzilla, Software Version Control System, Lauterbach, and
Visual Studio
Assess risks/tradeoffs, and make timely decisions.
*Preferred:*
Strong Math background a plus
Cross platform a plus
Java and JNI is a plus
Experience with Nucleus RTOS and ARM processor a plus
Experience in the Education market is a plus.

*Objectives:*
1. Embedded Application Developer should be responsible for the
design and development of quality software components.
a. Execution of commitments and providing status of deliverables.
b. Providing status of issues and recommendations for possible
solutions.
c. Development of unit testing with max/min boundary coverage for
software components.
d. Assist Software Quality Assurance Team in the development and
implementation of a detailed testing strategy and structured release process
to increase the quality of team deliverables.
2. Embedded Application Developer that can build and maintain a good
relationship with Software Manager, Software Team Leaders, Software Team,
Software Quality Assurance, Engineering Services, Program Management,
Project Management, and key customers.
a. Identify dependencies and deliverables needed to work efficiently
with the other parts of the project team.
b. Investigate technical road blocks by analyzing product
requirements and collaborate with Product Management Team to provide
technical feasibility versus their customer inputs (Ex. Users Stories) and
acceptance testing.
c. Able to rapidly prototype ideas and concepts. Ability to
synthesize requirements, create concepts, lead design decision-making, and
keep customer focus at forefront of decision making process.
d. Work closely with internal co-development and outsourced
sub-teams to maximize skills and efficiencies.
*Team & People Skills: *
Must be able to communicate well with strong technical engineers, customer
representatives (for requirements), and management.
Excellent teaming and collaboration skills for working in a cross functional
team environment
Good Inter-personal skills are vital
Clear/concise articulation needed; (orally and written).
Good presentation skills
Should be self-disciplined and driven to results
