Creating roles, Groups and Users. * Expanding the use of Spring Source TC server while the Web Logic environment shrinks. * Management, upgrade and installation of Web Logic licenses. * Installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting of Oracle Application Server 10G running on Windows Server 2003 * Deployment of applications (WAR, JAR and EAR) in both domain and clustered environments. * Implement various tools to manage the environments (Quest, Foglight, Websitepulse etc.) This position is primarily for the operational support of our WebLogic production environments. We are expanding the use of Spring Source TC Server as it's replacement. This requires strong Windows(15%) and Linux(85%) skills OEL 4 and 5, Red Hat 5. Vast majority of the supported environment is virtual (~99%) except Oracle RAC. VCP certification is a strong plus with close to 5500 VM's being managed by the team. Storage is EMC SAN.. * Project Responsibility:* This position will be working supporting the existing infrastructure as well as the 2010 IT project rollouts. The Weblogic Server Admin provides support of the production environment by trouble shooting issues, developing, testing and migration of standardized solutions. Has a strong understanding of the business processes and application functionality relevant to their area as well as an understanding of related applications in adjacent areas. Will be required to author technical design of functional specifications and progress the solution from design though the development life-cycle to implementation. Has a strong understanding of, and ensures adherence to, the IT processes and standards required. This WebLogic Admin will be expected to be effective in both a team environment as well as working independently. Expected to show keen interest in learning new applications and tools. Provides production support of WebLogic and like Servers in production by trouble shooting issues, proposing solutions, develops and tests fixes, and migrates solution. Ensures that all standards and policies are adhered to. Assists System Admins, as well as junior WebLogic/TC Server Admins with Technical Designs and WebLogic, TC Server Test plans. Develops Unit Test Plans to insure a stable environment. Develops and maintains applications for business processes and systems. This position is primarily needed for the build out and support of WebLogic Server (versions 9.2, 10.2 Windows and Linux). Weblogic Server administration tasks include the installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting and performance tuning of the various versions of WebLogic Server.
