Position Title: Infra Service Tech Mgr Location: Foster City, CA Duration: 6 Months contract Summary Plans, manages and coordinates all aspects of projects (mid-level to complex) from initiation to delivery. Coordinates all activities necessary to enable engineering execute projects ranging from Strategic customer requirements to live issue management, projects that require inter departmental efforts dependency and supports inter-departmental process engineering efforts. Responsibilities: Work closely with the engineering team to lead multiple projects from design and development through to production and provide support to senior level Project Managers on complex programs. Define resources and schedule for project implementation. Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning. Directs/oversees project engineering teams and manages priority conflicts between groups. Plan and schedule project deliverables, goals, and milestones. Track executive status with metrics, timelines, and progress updates Maintain timelines and develop launch/release plans for projects. Work with Product team in aligning the release trains to launch milestones. Efficiently identify project issues and work for timely resolution. Demonstrate leadership to define requirements and plans for project risk. Develop Requests for Proposals (RFP) for external services as needed. Design and maintain technical and project documentation as needed. Liaise with peer business unit project/program managers and project teams to develop effective working relationships. Work with the team and peer organizations to continue to mature the project management discipline Qualifications Minimum 8 years actively managing and supporting software projects Prior experience in high-availability, transaction processing environments in the financial industry strongly desired. Knowledge of technical application (Mainframe with exposure to Open Systems) concepts (e.g., Java/PHP, Distributed applications, Databases, JavaScript/Widget SDKs, Mainframe applications) and technology product development life cycle preferred. Quick understanding of business and system operations and the ability to communicate in these areas. Strong process orientation and good understanding of project management techniques, methodologies (i.e., PMBOK waterfall, Agile, etc.) and best practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in MS office products (PowerPoint, excel, etc.) Self-starter with the ability to work with a great degree of autonomy while coordinating activities with cross-departmental and cross-divisional teams.
