Summary *– pls read this email in it’s entirety* We need a smart PL/SQL developer with: - Linux scripting skills - Perfect or near perfect communication skills..I mean solid and confident communication skills. - Someone that has worked independently on projects involving upgrading a banking system where: - The system creates interface files that are sent to downstream systems. The old programs are written in Basic. Consultant needs to replicate the old Basic code in PL/SQL and Linux to connect the new system to the downstream systems. - Rewrite 10-12 processes - Set up and perform all the testing needed for the implementation - System Integration testing - User Acceptance testing Hiring manager will provide the data and of course any and all functional knowledge but does not have time to look over this person’s shoulder and micro manage day to day. The consultant has to be able to work independently, and have experience working independently doing similar. I do not want a programmer or developer that is part of a team..this is not a team project. Consultant is doing it all. *Length of project* Project is slated to go to March of 2018 with strong chance of being extended to 2020…if they are good. Description Payment datawarehouse SQL server developer Assignment context Assignment description PRIMARY FUNCTION: Develop a Payment System data warehouse that will be used as the golden source for NY Branch data requests. The data warehouse sources include multiple applications that contain payment system (e.g SWIFT, Montran GPS) and transaction filtering data (e.g Fircosoft, Prime OFAC). The candidate is responsible for the design, development and automation of the solution. Main Responsibilities: - Design and develop a data warehouse according to functional specifications. - Liaise with the business analyst and development team to clarify functional specifications. - Design, develop and implement MS SQL Server solution. - Document system processes and coding. - Ensure unit testing is conducted according to functional specifications and user requirements. - Design and build batch processes to automate the solution. Required Skills: - Must have strong system development experience with MS SQL Server. - Must have strong analytical and technical skills including scripting. - Must be detailed-oriented, a quick learner and self-starter. - Strong communication skills and able to work effectively in a team environment. Experience: - 5+ years’ experience developing MS SQL Server applications. - 5+ years’ experience working with payment systems and transaction filtering data. - *Experience designing and developing data warehouses.* - Financial industry experience is required (preferably Banking).
