Job Description: Statistician, Research & Modeling

predictive analytics professionals to improve growth and profitability and
create actionable insights through the use of rigorous statistical analysis.
The team meets with senior executives to influence key strategic decisions
and works with business and technology partners to translate findings into
profitable products, services, and business processes.  This is a position
for a 6+ month contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Executing on specific phases of analytical projects that tie to long-term
research agendas.

• Learning the existing data stores and building data flows to support
modeling.

• Applying traditional and cutting-edge multivariate statistical
techniques.

• Managing personal workflows and engaging with cross-functional team
members.


Qualifications

Our positions require a range of experience and expertise. We are looking
for technically strong candidates.

• Proficiency with a programming language. Expertise in a statistical
language preferred (SAS, R, SPSS).

• Understanding of database and data management principles. Experience
working with large and complex data structures is a plus.

• Solid knowledge of statistical theory, such as in the areas of GLM,
categorical data analysis, time-series estimation, and experimental design,
with a proven ability to apply methods to real-world problems.

• Ph.D. or Masters degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, operations
research, or related fields, with emphasis on quantitative methods, or a
Bachelors degree with 2 or more years of relevant experience.

skills.
