I took over a project midstream which is using iText to create pdfs for use
in a production environment for stationary, business cards, envelopes etc.
In general, we have been able to create the PDF with little problem. The
problem I am now encountering is that some of the printers we are sending
the PDF's to are saying that PDF is not acceptable for production purposes.
As I understand it, there is a problem with separating the colors from the
PDF.

Not being form the print industry, I'm not sure what I can do.

My question are:

1. Is there anything I can do to improve the quality of our PDF's which may
make them work better?
2. Are there any tools available which we can use to convert the PDF's to
other formats which printers may find more acceptable.
3. Is there anything that I can do to help the printers use the PDF's as
they are?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
