Anoter question concerning this problem would be as follows:

Consider that I have a collection of two or more readily made PDF documents
with FDF fields filled with that and a SIGN field that is already signed.

The question would be: Is it possible, using the latest unofficial version
of I-Text, to join these multiple documents in a way that all VISUAL data
is preserved.
This would mean that the data filled in the FDF fields would display when
opening the combined document and that the visual properties of the signed
SIGN field would display, so that this document can be printed. (f.ex the
sign field contains some text about who has signed the document etc.). The
sign field would NOT need to be functional just viewable.

CopyPdf will pass the fields as they are for the first document
it
finds with fields. It doesn't merge field from different documents.

Well, any field type can be added with the right keys and the
right
dictionary but I know that's not the question. The last itext-paulo has
support for the generation of sig fields but not for signing them. See
signature.java in my site.

Form field support is being improved. If you have suggestions
for
things that you would like I'm here to listen (linearization, transparency
and document signing are not in my near goals).
