Possibly, but that would be a BAD IDEA. You would be giving the users the visual indication that the document is digitally signed - when it is NOT (and in fact, would fail to verify).


Why not do this right and license something like SecurSign (http://www.appligent.com) which can be called quite easily from java and offers true Digital Sigs for PDF.
