Windows would be sufficient, although it'll be nice to run on 
Unixes too.

Hmm, i'd say just normal (network) printers as they are used 
widely in businesses and home offices. Java 1.4 includes a new 
Print API to print. So I mean printers which can be accessed by 
it.
