What would help as well, is the existence of a consultancy company with glossy brochures, that has a commercial "consultancy/training offering" and that stands behind the use of iText. My project manager likes iText too, but he is also looking for ways to defend the choice. I mean, could anybody send me such glossy brochures?

I don't have any "glossy brochures", but my company (PDF Sages - http://www.pdfsages.com) offers commercial sales, support and training of iText.

By the way, we're opportunistically using the C# version (iTextDotNet) from Mr. Ujihara Kazuya, because upper IT management is currently more into DOT.NET than into java.

Oh, that could be an issue as we only have an arrangement with Paulo & Bruno & Mark for the Java version of iText - not the C# version :(.
