Thanks for the quick response. I am using adobe acrobat 7.0 professional which uses adobe designer 7.0 form editing. I presume that Adobe livecycle designer and adobe designer are the same . Please Correct me if i am wrong!! Will it be ok if i use adobe acrobat 5.0 professional to design the forms? Is it compatible with Itext?

Kindly clarify

thanks,
JV

Designer 7-created forms aren't compatible with iText (or any other non-Adobe form software) UNLESS flattened.

You will either need to switch back to older form authoring software, switch to Adobe's LiveCycle Designer software, or start writing code to modify the XML data in the PDF...
