Are there any other open source java pdf lib that are compatible with adobe designer 7.0 ? pls clarify.

Designer 7-created forms aren't compatible with iText (or any other non-Adobe form software) UNLESS flattened.
You will either need to switch back to older form authoring software, switch to Adobe's LiveCycle Designer software, or start writing code to modify the XML data in the PDF...
