I am an Eclipse user, and I commit/update iText

using the Eclipse built-in CVS capabilities.
I don't know of any problems on that front.
I'm very happy with this functionality

That was exactly what I wanted to know. I just wanted to be sure that the
SourceForge CVS settings won't conflict in any way with Eclipse. By the way
I'm using Eclipse 3.1.2 but I also have ver. 3.0 on my PC.

It's my intention that you won't have to REWRITE
any code that is explained in the book.
However it will be necessary to RECOMPILE your
code if you decide to upgrade to the next iText
release.

If you are using code that is NOT explained in
the book, and of which the use was discouraged
for years on this list (class Graphic, class
Watermark) you will have to rewrite your code
or work with an old iText version.

I will have to keep Table (unfortunately) and
probably HeaderFooter (but not for long).
I dropped MarkupAttributes, but I wrote an
alternative way to create HTML with extra
markup that may provide us a solution for
better support of Tagged PDF. That's the reason
why I am reorganizing everything: I want to
have a very good insight of what is happening
inside PdfWriter and PdfDocument before I
start adding new features.

Yep. Maybe I should plan a long vacation
right after the release ;-)

Thanks!
In my head I am completely rewriting the book,
because a lot of stuff is changing:
PDF 1.7 brought some new goodies that will be
implemented in iText 2.0.0, also after writing
the book, I have a lot of inspiration to develop
new stuff,... So you mustn't expect this new book
inside my head in the first years to come ;-)

I'm not sure what you mean by this.
I am an Eclipse user, and I commit/update iText
using the Eclipse built-in CVS capabilities.
I don't know of any problems on that front.
I'm very happy with this functionality, especially
since SourceForge upgraded their servers for CVS.
