The only program (at this time) that can flatten an XFA-based form is
Adobe's LiveCycle ES family of products.

Correct it does not. This leads me to ask the question:
"How do I flatten a completed form to remove XFA and make
the document just plain old PDF so I can print it anywhere (e.g.
without acrobat)?"
I assumed (incorrectly it appears) that the PdfStamper did this for
me.
