Hi, I'm using iText (version 2.0.1) with Tomcat 6 to add a timestamp to the first page of uploaded pdf file. Today the jvm crushed.
Here is a part of the error report: # # An unexpected error has been detected by HotSpot Virtual Machine: # # SIGBUS (0x7) at pc=0xb373fba9, pid=13444, tid=1693485984 # # Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (1.5.0_12-b04 mixed mode) # Problematic frame: # J com.lowagie.text.pdf.RandomAccessFileOrArray.read()I # Here is my code: PdfReader reader= new PdfReader(new RandomAccessFileOrArray(srcFile),null); PdfStamper stamp= new PdfStamper(reader,new FileOutputStream(targetFile)); BaseFont bf = BaseFont.createFont(BaseFont.HELVETICA, BaseFont.WINANSI, BaseFont.NOT_EMBEDDED); PdfContentByte over = stamp.getOverContent(1); over.beginText(); over.setFontAndSize(bf, 30); over.setColorFill(new Color(0,0,255)); over.showTextAligned(Element.ALIGN_LEFT, theTime, 100, 200, 90); over.endText(); After the crush, I've tested again with the same file and everything was correct.
