You probably don't mean that it 'returns' but that it throws the SocketException and never reaches the RequestDispatcher. Anyway: it's hard for us to help you remotely. I fear you'll have to find somebody who has experienced the same problem before (and solved it). Can't you try running the application on another system to see if the problem is reproducible? br, Bruno
