I use PNG all the time because it's the only one that provides
transparency colors properly.

Look at this image seen at 100%;

Compare the image with this image;

This is seen at 50% using Adobe reader 8 with "Smooth images" on 
in "Rendering" properties. You can clearly see the black border line!
If you look at the previous image, there is not a single pixel that has
black color! It's gray color. Suddenly black color border is generated. 
I tested this using Word documents. It does not happening in Word, 
which means there is a room this can be improved!
