Hi Leonard,

Thanks for the response. I listed all the code above for drawing the image, how
is it not set 1:1? Even when I view the pdf in acrobat pro with the points ruler
up, the image is the right dimensions.

I realize that jpeg isn't the best format to be used but most of my users only
have jpegs so I allow jpg, png, gif, tiff files to be used as they all can be
used with  iText. I tried everything from 72 dpi to 450dpi with no real change.

I did try a png as well by the way and it was still dithered. Like you said ,
all the photos I add into my pdf's look fine. It seems like the PDF is reducing
quality at some other level?
