But you also use a JVM, probably Sun's, so why wouldn't Sun be the culprit? What Paulo meant was that nothing in the piece code you provided indicates that it could be iText-related. Please send a fully working class producing this NPE (not pseudo-code), so that we could have a look at it and help you.
