I don't really like the fact that Adobe USES iText and doesn't expose the jar files to their customers. I just don't understand why they would want to do that. And if they do that, I fear they aren't shipping the iText source code either. Can somebody check if iText is mentioned in the third party information of Adobe LiveCycle? My first reaction was to file a piracy report on the Adobe site (but I didn't). My second reaction was to post an angry mail on USENET: news://comp.text.pdf (I have it saved in my draft folder). My third reaction is to wait till I get a response from the people working on the OEM for iText. I think that Adobe should buy an OEM for using iText if they are really using it in an expensive product such as LiveCycle. When MacroMedia introduced iText in Cold Fusion, it was clear for customers that iText was used.
