This can happen. Oh, that's another question. The default is that the images are opaque. So if part of image 1 overlaps image 2, the colors of image 2 that are underneath won't affect the colors of image 1. This is different as soon as you introduce transparency, blending modes and the other (rather difficult) stuff I describe in section 11.2. If I were to rewrite that section, I'd probably trim it down, because I've noticed that some people are confused. For instance: I wrote about Overprint. That part is easy to misinterpret. It doesn't apply to the printing of images. The problem is that I originally explained this in a way that nobody understood. I talked about comic books I bought as a child. These comic books were printed in different colors that were 'added' to each other (printed on top of each other with a combined color as result). Sometimes a page had a small offset (by accident) and the same shapes printed in different colors didn't overlap correctly (you saw the different colors that were used in the border zone of the shapes). First of all: I wasn't sure if this really qualified as 'an overprint problem'; secondly, my editor wanted me to reduce the number of 'personal anecdotes' ;-) > I was hoping that Leonard could perhaps help?
