again, I think the pdf tool kit of "xpdf" stuff from foolabs works. Also, this was what I did with the open source renderer and I earlier had an interest in getting OCR samples. Just trying to skim my history file, there is something called "pdfimages" and I can also find the command lines where I used a modified open source renderer to do the same thing, as I recall that wasn't too difficult but I think I archived all that code.
