As a 'veteran' of several years learning from this list, and much
appreciated too, a couple of statements which might help answer your
question

A: read lots of old threads first to see what kind of questions are met with
short shrift.- these would definitely include:
Do my job for me by giving me code, after a pointer to the section in the
book has been given, which although sometimes deeply complex does normally
give the exact clues.
Answer my question now its URGENT.
IT is broken, as opposed to I can't make it work.
I am using an old version and it's your fault that I haven't got the latest
one or bought the book

B: posting lots of short messages which do not really add anything to an
understanding of the problem in a short space of time

C: NOT posting an example, not posting stack trace to illustrate failure,
not pointing to definite particular issue, not reading the book

D: Generally not treating the 4 or 5 writers of the library with the kind of
respect that shows admiration for their willingness to make this available
in the public domain it their own time. (When something REALLY is broken it
gets fixed very quickly)

So, perhaps, stop shouting and ask nicely. Did your mother never teach you
that, or were you unwilling to learn?

Why do I not get all the mailing list replies even though I am
subscribed to the list ???

I get the digest but i changed that to non-digest so i should be
getting full messages.
