I want to make a comparison:
You said that your car stopped working.
The only information you provided is that this battery (=iText) is working
fine in other cars.
Now you ask the battery specialists what to do to get your car running
again.
Conclusion:
1. It is not the battery (iText)
2. This is the wrong place for car problems
3. It can be anything (with the infos you provided)
4. In such a situation people would tell you to go to a car repair shop
(=company offering web application consulting (like we do ;-D ) Ah before I
forget: I don't know any car repair shop analyzing and fixing for free. If
you do - please name it ;-)
Regards,
ToM
PS: Questions you should ask your developers:
- Did it work before in IE7/IE8?
- Since when did it stop working? (E.g. a IE7/8 updates can cause this kind
of behaviour.)
- Does it work in IE9?
- Do all IE7/IE8's installations on every notebook within your
company/customers not work or are only a few affected? If so what are the
differences?
- Is the compatibility mode in IE8 activated?
- Is the protected mode in those browsers activated?
- What OS's are you using?
- Did the browser security settings change? (Some companies have software
to control that and maybe that was recently changed)
- Is there any error message? Did you try the developer tools of IE9 (F12)
or used the developer toolbar in ie8?

And this is only a small number of questions which comes to mind...
