Sorry for chiming in here, but it seems as if you're misunderstanding each
other?
If I may: Paul seems to ask why itext(!) uses this magic constant (which
doesn't always work in his case).
The 10000 is in your code, your PdfAction constructor.

Paul seems to ask 'Why 10000' and 'Any idea why -32768 works better for the
Reader'.
At least the former seems to be something that you know about, or knew in
the past? :-)
