Acrobat doesn't write that value anywhere. Evermap's plugin may do so, but Acrobat itself doesn't.
As for why it works in some but not others - I'd need to see the actual PDFs in question to be able to comment. I can say that we don't do any range checking on that value (beyond making sure it's a valid number).
