Here is the code wher I am using PDFReader.
public void processInputPDF(String pdfToRead) {      
                
        PdfReader reader = null;
        try {
            reader = new PdfReader(pdfToRead);        
                        totalPages = getTotalPages(reader);
                        searchCount = readThroughPdf(reader, totalPages);       
     
        } catch (IOException e) {
            e.printStackTrace();
        } finally {
                reader.close();
        }  
        
 }
