  No, I have no idea. wlua and iuplua executables are similar, both does
not have a system console.

  I would try to add some print's to see where it is aborting. But since it
does not have a console, you may try using iup.Message.

  Or from inside your code you can start the new iup.LuaScripterDlg before
even setting UTF8MODE. It will redirect your "print" output, just like
the iuplua53.exe.
Maybe with print's you will get closer to the problem itself.
