Hello Tommy, Thanks for taking the time to submit this request. Currently, we do not have any php*-pecl-ssh2 packages in the stable repos. Our php*-pecl- ssh2 packages are in the development repos for both el5[0] and el6[1] and thus are not considered stable or production ready (although some might).
Historical we have avoided omitting a release for a module. We want to try to be consistent. If a package is available for a release, then all sub-packages and modules should also be available for that release. We want to avoid a fragmented situation where modules a, b and c are available for el5, but modules b, x and y are available for el6. I made the choice to put the php*-pecl-ssh2 packages in the development repos as a form of compromise since Mark did most of the work to make the spec files.
