My understanding is that for the packages you list, 0.4.53 is the source code
version number and 2.1 or 4.2 is the compile time version number. The compile
time version number is incremented each time the source code is recompiled.
This implies at least the source code for both armv7L and i586 are based off
the same pull of code from upstream, however there may be some patches local to
the tizen build system that are different between the two versions.

Joel

Hi all,
I am comparing the packages between armv7l mobile repo packages and x86 IVI
packages.
Although the packages are many of the packages are there for both ARM and x86,
there are differences in versions.
For eg:
In armv7l repo : alarm-server.armv7l 0.4.53-slp.2.1
In x86 IVI repo : alarm-server.i586 0.4.53-slp.4.2

Can use the existing armv7l packages for IVI?

Please let me know.

Thanks

You should be able to compare the package list from tizen mobile against tizen
IVI and figure out which mobile packages to use. There are some packages that
IVI has modified so you'll have to build those as well.

Hi Joel,
Thanks a lot for providing the info. If I have to build Tizen IVI for ARM then
in order create my own repo, which existing components I can use from Tizen ARM
mobile profile repo(e.g :
http://download.tizen.org/releases/daily/2.0alpha/common/latest/repos/tizen-base/armv7l)
and which components I will have to edit?
Please let me know.

I know there is a team that is well along on adding a port to an ARM board to
the Tizen IVI profile. I expect this will become more visible over the next
few weeks.
However I'm not part of that team and can't provide any details.

Subject: [IVI] Build Tizen IVI on ARM

Hi all,
I want to build tizen for ARM architecture with IVI profile. There are no repo
for tizen IVI with ARM. Can anybody tell me if Tizen IVI is supported for arm?
If so where and what kind of configuration changes I have to make?

Please help me.

Thanks
