The wifidirect-manager was built for a mobile platform and has not been ported
(or replaced) to a working version for IVI. There is ongoing work for
WifiDirect for IVI, I've been told various estimates from 2-5 months to
complete.

Regards
Joel

Subject: wifi direct. WPS.

Hi,

We are using https://wiki.tizen.org/wiki/IVI#Tizen_3.x_codebaseas the codebase
for a new product on the BayTrail.
After correcting some issues with the udev rules, we have a functional wifi
interface using the ath9k_htc driver.

However WifDirect doesnt seem to be functional - and the wifidirect-manager is
not installable either.

Please could you advise on the steps required to enable this
functionality on x86 silicon.
I believe the current scripts in wifi-direct-manager tend to treat x86
as an "EMUL" target and not a real one.

is it just a matter of recompiling the wifi-direct-manager and the
supplicant with the right options?
The information on IVI is quite vague and unprecise - and yes, we can
get the p2p_ to resolve the PIN synchronization but who takes care of
the WPS on IVI?
I believe this is the role of the wifidirect-manager?

thanks

Jorge
