Most of these look like issues specific to integration with Tizen.

We strongly believe in driving issues back upstream where applicable.

Could you give us a specific example of how to contribute back upstream to a
Genivi project, say for example the SDL code?

Joel

Subject: Bugs against GENIVI components in Tizen's bug tracker

Hi,

I note that there are a number of bugs in Tizen's bug tracker that are labled
or named "genivi":
https://bugs.tizen.org/jira/browse/TIVI-2846?jql=project%20%3D%20TIVI%20AND%20text%20~%20%22genivi%22

I wonder if those bugs have been forwarded upstream into GENIVI's bug tracker;
http://bugs.genivi.org/

This is considered a best practice in Open Source software development and is a
good way to contribute back to the project that wrote the code you're using.

I've tried to get a log in to the Tizen bug tracker and cherry pick some bugs
to move myself but I have not received permission to access the bug database
for changes (and it would be silly to have to fix the bug twice.)

Can I ask that relevant GENIVI bugs be forwarded upstream?

Cheers,

Jeremiah
