Hi Orti, I have never tried really hard but my understanding is that we’d need the VMware Tools to be installed in the guest OS (ie. Tizen IVI) and more specifically the vmhgfs module in order to mount that shared folder in any Linux guest OS. I have tried that once (quite some time ago) and it did not work straight away, I did not investigate any further.
I have been using ‘scp’ to transfer files between my VM and my host OS (or any other computer). I typically set-up the network in ‘bridge’ mode instead of the default ‘NAT’ mode.
