Hi, Jay
I can play mp3 file normally after install three packages, they are
gst-plugins-ugly libmad and opencore-amr, opencore-amr is the dependence of
gst-plugins-guly.
gst-plugins-ugly was recompiled with mad plugin enabled and libmad was compiled
for tizen ivi too, you can inspect it in system before you play mp3 file by
command
"gst-inspect-1.0 |grep mad", the mad mp3 decoder was listed if there is no
anything wrong.

BTW, in my system, there is a link called libmad.so.0 exist in /usr/lib, you
should make sure it was created too if you copy libmad.so manually.

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root  15 Jul 30 02:26 /usr/lib/libmad.so.0 -> libmad.so.0.2.1
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 96K Feb 12 22:48 /usr/lib/libmad.so.0.2.1

Tanks

Subject: RE: MP3 plugin missing on Tizen release

HI Ning,

What I did was something similar.

I independently build libmad and just copied the generated .so library files to
/usr/lib in the tizen rootfs. Added -enable-mad flag in .spec file of
gst-plugins-ugly and recompiled it. Now, I installed the newly generated
gst-plugins-ugly.rpm in tizen system.

Please let me know if I have missed anything.

Thanks,
Jay

Subject: MP3 plugin missing on Tizen release

Hi,

I am running Intel arch image of Tizen on my desktop. I have installed all the
gstreamer 1.0 plugins( i.e. base, ugly, bad and good).

When I try to play MP3 format audio files through gst-launch-1.0 playbin
uri=file:///path/of/file , I am not able to hear any sound, it give some error
like as below:
gsturidecodebin.c(880): unknown_type_cb ():
/GstPlayBin:playbin0/GstURIDecodeBin:uridecodebin0
ERROR: from element
/GstPlayBin:playbin0/GstURIDecodeBin:uridecodebin0/GstDecodeBin:decodebin0:
Your GStreamer installation is missing a plug-in.
Additional debug info:
gstdecodebin2.c(3705): gst_decode_bin_expose ():
/GstPlayBin:playbin0/GstURIDecodeBin:uridecodebin0/GstDecodeBin:decodebin0:
no suitable plugins found

I tried solutions as per previous bugs like : installation of 'mad' element in
gst-plugins-ugly( by adding flag -enable-mad) and installed this rpm. Also
installed libmad-0.15.1b-1.18.src.rpm. I also changed assigned
GST_RANK_SECONDARY in gst-libav for avdec_mp3, but still the MP3 gives same
error and does not work.

Can anybody point the solution to these problem? I am working with latest
released image(march - release).

Thanks,
Jay
