Hi Brian,
The problem is that the size of the IVI image is too large to reside in
the mmc of the nuc device.
Sorry, I took some time to identify the problem because I added a ssd
disk in the nuc and I disabled the mmc in the bios. A patch has been
submitted to reduced the size of the Tizen IVI image :
https://review.tizen.org/gerrit/#/c/28633/
We will inform you when the patch will be merged.
Best Regards,
Nicolas

Unfortunately the issue persists. I do note that the installer seems
to work fine with the common profile. It's just IVI that fails when
the download is at 0%.
Is there a way to dump a log file?
Best,
Brian

Hi Nicolas,
I am indeed using version 20141004. I'll give the updated version
a shot.

Hi Brian,
You probably have an old version of the common-installer. A
few days ago, we noticed that a python dependency was missing
in bmap-tool and we added it
(https://review.tizen.org/gerrit/#/c/28293/).
So, can you check with the last version of the installer :
http://download.tizen.org/snapshots/tizen/common/tizen-common_20141010.1/images/ia32-wayland/common-installer-mbr-i586/
?
Let us know if you encounter any problem.
Best Regards,
Nicolas

Hi,
I installed tizen-common to the internal storage on a NUC
today, using common-installer on a USB key. The system
booted fine and appears to be working as expected. So I
decided to give tizen-ivi a try as well, installing over the
tizen-common image.
While running the installer as outlined here
(https://wiki.tizen.org/wiki/Install_tizen_image), the
installation proceeds past choosing the language (us) and the
profile (IVI). I chose a daily release, and agreed to lose
all the data on my device. It begins downloading, and then
almost immediately errors out:
"Bmaptool failed to flash your device. Do you want to reboot?"
To be honest, I'm not even sure where to start diagnosing
what's going wrong. Has anyone else noticed this, and if so,
have you been able to fix it?
Best,
Brian
