Hi, Quite a lot of things have changed since the last milestone release (new weston, weston-ivi-shell, GENIVI shell and the homescreen policing has been switched to Murphy's system controller component), so I recommend testing out with the latest IVI Daily ( http://download.tizen.org/releases/daily/tizen/ivi/latest/ ). The current latest (20141231) daily has a small issue with the ICO audio policy due to the appid lacking, so after installing ico-uxf-homescreen you will have to replace the module-murphy-ivi lua configuration file from TC-2294 ( https://bugs.tizen.org/jira/browse/TC-2294 ) in order to have "player" type of applications have audio output again. The Murphy system-controller should currently have a 1 second timeout during the surface etc creation as it tries to see how much a given application supports various protocols (and the system controller tries to implement the rest for the application in case IVI shell / GENIVI shell are not supported by the application), but otherwise the performance should be better in the current dailies. Also I recommend adding "export WAYLAND_DEBUG=1" to the end of /etc/profile.d/ecore.sh to help figuring out what application is calling what over the Wayland protocol. Together with that I recommend using the "-o short-monotonic" output in journalctl to make the messages sorted according to a monotonic clock.
