I don't think the tda9887=0 option is needed.

I've asked and it is currently not possible. As I understand it it is a design 
flaw in the I2C or V4L2 system.

Does the AVC-2410 have any eeprom? If you run 'i2cdetect -l', and then run 
'i2cdetect -a <i2cbus>' for the ivtv i2c bus, what do you get? If you see a 
number, then that might be the I2C address of the eeprom. With luck the tuner 
is encoded in the eeprom. (i2cdetect is part of the lm-sensors package, BTW)
