You can adjust the size in mythtv: settings->tv->playback-> then one of the last pages. That can make myth choose a size for the Xv so that it actually fits on your tv.
Yes this is what I do and it works very well.
The OSD scaling I don't know of any way to fix. If you're watching 'native' (720x576 or 480) content, it looks fine, but if you're looking a smaller divx for instance, the OSD looks funky due to the scaling that happens. It would be nice if this could be fixed, but I have no clue if its possible.
I did presume the differing sizes in native content and DVB content might be the issue here. Interesting when watching recorded DVB content or switching input from native to DVB livetv the OSD is fine but as soon as I change channels on the DVB source the OSD position is radically changed.
I don't know if this is because MythTV does not correctly recalculate the OSD position if the content size changes or if perhaps more likely that the PVR 350 does not scale the OSD and yuv content separately?
