I've got a PVR-350 and I don't see this at all. Not sure how you're
viewing CC; I'm using it with KnoppMyth R5A26 (MythTV 0.18.1 +
patches and ivtv-0.4.0). MythTV is set to use the 350 for MPEG playback.

When I play back an mpeg with encoded VBI data, the closed captions are completely garbled. Occasionally a word or two will sneak through intact, but it's completely useless.
MythTV 0.18.1, ivtv-0.4.0. Using the decoder on the 350 for playback, and the encoder on the 350 for recording. Looks that I have the same card as you, Scott, dunno why it would behave differently. I am running this on a P3-600 with 384 mb ram, FC3.
