you mean that it's not only a connexant chip problem (CX23416), there may be other chips on the card not understood by ivtv, that's it ?

to see if one of the existing cards matches yours. (run 'modinfo ivtv'
to see a list of possible values) However, it is highly unlikely that
this is going to work. It propably uses hardware chips not supported by
ivtv.
